Hey family,
Well it’s been another week in Mexico. Every day is a new adventure, haha. It has been a pretty good week though, this
week I went on exchanges with the zone leader in Central Mexicali, and we
cleaned the chapel on Wednesday. I ate
some cow liver this week, that was interesting.
On Saturday night, the assistants called and said I needed to go to
Tijuana for something for my VISA. So
yesterday, me and Elder Tuttle and the Zone Leader took the bus to Tijuana and
stayed the night in the assistants place and then signed a paper today and took
a bus back to Mexicali. We just got back
like an hour ago. But it was worth it
because I was able to see all my district from the MTC except for my companion
and another Elder. It was great. Sounds like the weather has been good at the
house, it’s still just hot here everyday.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cloud here, ha-ha. They don’t really celebrate Halloween here
but they celebrate the Day of the Dead which is sometime in November. I don’t have my camera with me right now so I
can’t send pictures. I didn’t take my
camera to Tijuana. I’m doing good though,
my Spanish is better. I can understand
what some people are saying. It just depends on the person, if they
speak really clear then I can understand what they’re talking about most of the
time. We get mail on Friday, but I doubt I will get anything because it takes a
long time for it to get across the border I think. Anyways I’m doing good. Thanks for everything, have a great week.
I’ll try
to enjoy the sunshine, haha, it’s just so dang hot here!! I want the snow.
No, we
didn’t do anything fun for p-day today.
Just sat in the mission office and got our VISA thing and rode the bus
back for 2 and a half hours. I slept on
just box springs last night so I didn’t sleep at all so I’ve been tired all day
so I can’t wait to go to my bed tonight!!!
Transfers are in two weeks I believe. I’m good though. It will be hard in
two weeks when he leaves because I have to know the whole area and all the
members and everything!!! and I can’t even remember people’s names!!
